Southern United first team should be (using available players)

                          Batty

Cotter      Joy     Hogan     Ferguson

Brook       Connor  Ridden McClennan

             Stewart       Coldicott

But it will be

                          Batty

Howard    Joy     Fitzpatrick Hayman

McClennan Ridden Neavason Ryder

                  Stewart  Rickerby

Hogan isn't a centre back, Connor doesn't complete enough passes to play in the middle of the park and Coldicott with his current form will be no threat to any defender in the ASB Premiership.

Hogan could be a very good one, Connor was starting in the midfield up at Central, his quality can't be questioned. Agree with current form for Coldicott but if you look at the other strikers in the league, who would you have?

Hogan could be but would take a while for him to adapt, yes Connor has bags of quality and experience so probably deserves a starting spot somewhere in the line-up. Hard decision with not many top strikers around, wouldn't go for Rickerby only scores goals against the bottom 2 teams in the league, generally can't hit a barn door so wouldn't back him for Southern. Would be better off throwing a young gun up top maybe the likes of Kiore, L Jackson or Rahan Ali?
