As a guy who played two seasons for Northern, if we're gonna talk carrying Dunedin in New Zealand football history it's us. Two Chatham Cups vs 0 from Cavvy and 1 from Tech. Having a sharkty cup run that ends as soon as you face a North Island team means sweet fudge all.

**Pendant alert** Northern won the cup in 1959 & 61. Only other Dunedin teams to win were Seacliff (the 1st in 1923 - they only had to play 2 games) Tech in 1999 and Dunedin City in 1981 (beating Mt Wellington 3-1 at the Basin Reserve, which was the first live game I ever went to!).
