Cavy are getting it right at the top

Let's be honest ( coming from an ardent Roslyn man) they have dominated for years hands down. No one can argue that. I agree their club rooms and turn out tend to lack, I'm not sure why as I actually think they have a proper old school clubbies. Nothing better than a beer there after beating them. They are not a good club, they are a great club and have carried Dunedin football for too many years. Other clubs need to step up. Tech are not in the same class and never have been

I do agree we are a great club and yes we have carried Dunedin footy for a while now , mind you we did receive a substantial amount of funding through the Caversham Foundation , think it was in the amount of approx. 120 k per year for 10 odd years , coaches got paid a decent wage and all players were paid a good incentive to preform , how else do you think we attracted players of that quality , Steve's mates in Chch keep us in the loop as to who was promising and up and coming and those who were keen to come down and play for Cavy , not rocket science , the club rooms are a little lacking in support but still get good support from opposing teams.
