What happened to all the money Foodstuffs put into Cavy for several years, not that long ago either.

If a SI league was up and running say next year would they [Cavy] be in a position to fund a team to play in that?

Time for Mosgiel and others to show they mean to be a top clubs and push for a SI league. Help with giving the youth players at clubs something to aim for instead of playing Northern and Otago Uni, not much to look forward to there on a cold Saturday.

Give GI some credit here for having a young squad on the rise hence not included in the above comment.

Get to compete with the CashTech and Coastal Spirit, Nelson teams standard of play week on week.

Shame the Chatham Cup is not open draw from an earlier round in the SI would be able to see the standard of SI football across several games if the draw spread gave it up. Would happen some years others maybe not.

Yes the top 2 teams play for a SI title but a one off game. How good are the DT, Mosgiel, RW compered to a Western, Halswell or FC2011. The Chatham Cup could give us that without a full on SI league until we know if the standard is there [except for the top 2 teams] to have an SI league.
