Things can't be going well at Wexford Youths for these five players to walk out before season's end - and most of them are first team regulars too. They last played on September 24 before boarding the flight to Dunedin - with five league games remaining:

Wexford have won only three of their last 21 games.

The parting seems to be amicable though according to this Wexford club article:

"While Wexford Youths are disappointed to lose the lads, we would like to thank them for their contribution this season and in particular would like to thank Lasty, Molloy and Mulligan for the significant roles that they played in helping the club win the League of Ireland First Division title last season." (Gained promotion by winning the Irish second tier last season).

I just hope they realise that the NZ league is not as strong as the Irish Premier League.

Maybe they just fancy some sunshine?
