As with the other Football article from the ODT re the scholarship scheme, it is a great step forward with very poor execution. It isn't mentioned in the article but part of the agreement of the scholarships is for the winners to be strongly advised as to which club they should play for.
I thought they are supposed to be impartial and objective? How is potentially sending all the top players coming to the region to one club going to help this?
