And also that's Eastern Suburbs entire clubs books, not just their SS Premiership team... nice try though.

So looking at their accounts and reading their newsletters out to their members it would appear they are going to be utilising as much of the current club structure as possible in national league so it would be as accurate as you could assume that the accounts that sawu has put up are the ones being used to fund the National League. I read that they planned on using the existing coaching platform for NL and that has a cost of $360k per annum which would make sense as they have a couple of fulltime coaches (I am assuming McPherson is one of those on the payroll?) and a few part time. The balance sheet also shows Term deposits of over $800k which I am sure is part of the reason NZF approved their application. I have also looked up the societies database and there is no other entry remotely like the club name so unless they are doing something dodgy we can assume they are using the Eastern Suburbs AFC inc soc entity. So technically sawu is correct they have a football budget of around $1mil however that is for National League and winter operations. Of course it would be fair to assume that sponsorship for the NL would increase as would player costs (especially with six pros). Don't think there is much doubt they have a significantly larger budget than most apart from ACFC. Happy for you to prove otherwise.

their Northern League Coach Malcolm has moved up to be there SSP coach, he is being replaced by Hoani Edwards who was the NYL coach this season - one of the clubs fulltime coaching staff (Matt Maslak) was the NYL assistant coach but as far as I know Hoani and Malcolm are not full time coaches for E/S.

I don't know for certain but I am pretty sure I heard Chris Ruffles say they are keeping expense lines separate as the members of the club want to know how much money is being invested in the NL team.

Also I don't know what the post with the balance sheet proved as it was only the income side - no expenses on there that I saw (was looking on a mobile) so not sure how that proves their NL budget amount.

also I would imagine most teams are using existing partnerships to pad out their budget - like the imports for Southern - I doubt their FDO wages are in Southern's expense lines and they shouldn't be - but you can't argue one way for one team and one way for another.

And yes to your last question I don't doubt the suburbs budget is up there towards the top of the table - but I personally don't believe it's a million dollar budget.
