Particularly having decent Queenstown & Southland teams in the comp this year is a big step up from last year. 

Green Island have found a balance of having a couple of experienced & classy operators joining the talented youngsters they seem to produce (most of whom have 1 or 2 years experience at this level now). And Brazier has been an absolute beast, just bossing it.

Hard to see them not getting bullied by Cavy (because that's precisely what they did, in every sense of the word, last week against a decent Roslyn team by all accounts).

In reference to overall quality of the players involved that is and mostly related to the Dunedin teams that aren't near the top of the table. If it was not struggling I doubt we would be seeing FS trying to find anyway possible to get a South Island league going ASAP.
