The rumours doing the rounds up here in Chch is that Dunedin Tech are more than happy not to qualify for the South Island league because of the costs. I’m pretty sure there are a few committees around the South Island with the same feeling.
I don't think they're throwing games because they don't want to be a part of the SFL - I think they're just a bang average team now.
