One has to find it interesting our “neutral” football observer (@FSobserver) has gone very quiet now that the “total footballing” Otago Uni have well and truly washed up on reality Island.

Hello. I am still here, but I have chosen not to participate in what I can only call petulant ... nobody here can seem to hold a decent conversation without getting defensive. I only made this account over a year ago, just to try and gauge interest in the league down here and to try and do my bit to drum up support. The record will show I was a supporter of Dunedin Technical too, as I want Southern sides to succeed, no matter who they are. Yes, you're right... varsity aren't doing very well. The fact that you're happy about this because that is a reason to spite me is one reason why I choose not to even engage on this anymore. Yellowfever has good score updates (and the Mainland and Central threads are excellent and insightful), so that is now the extent of my following.

For the record once again, I am not affiliated with any club ... in fact one reason I have been absent is that I have been overseas and still am. I am sad that not all three Dunedin sides are doing as well as some of the Christchurch teams ... congratulations to Caversham and Mosgiel for really toughing it out. As for varsity, well I haven't seen them in a while but if they could tighten up, then that would hopefully increase their results next season.

So adios (that should give you a hint where I am) negative Southerners (not all of you), my apologies for trying to drum up a bit of conversation.
