Hello Beaver - none of the methods mentioned are detrimental to football development unless the are overdone, session after session, at the expense of developing a system of play the players know how to operate within and the required tactics that go along with it week in week out. SA the board are responsible. They picked the wrong coaches. They in turn picked their own hopeless club boys. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. You can't turn any of the current mob into an Aaron Burgess, or a Tim Horner, or an Andy Coburn after 5 million years let alone 5.

Southern United added two new experienced players to its team this week, when Aaron Joy and Bevan Rickerby were elected to the clubs Board of Management at a midweek AGM.

Both are experienced administrators and will add credibility as the Board almost immediately considers a Management Review of this years performance.
Joy is General Manager for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2015, arrangements in Dunedin, and Rickerby, a former Footballsouth Chairman, has been involved in senior cricket and football administration.
