What Paul Iffel has done for CHCH united seniors with his recruiting has to be the undoing of Slavas dream of producing players in his academy. Current regular playing squad contains no chch united academy players but 2 who have moved through the Ferrymead system.

Jago Godden was in their academy before going up to the Phoenix a few years ago and has been starting games.

Copied this from the Christchurch United facebook page, which was posted around an hour ago, never the best news when hearing of any serious injury, big lost to both United and the Southern League as a whole.

We wish our #9, Daniel MacLennan, a speedy recovery after he suffered a serious injury in our English Cup Quarter-Final against Selwyn earlier this week. He came away from the game with a broken knee and stitches on his head.
On behalf of everyone at Christchurch United FC, we wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you back on the pitch as soon as possible!
