Interesting to look back on the history of the Shield which was introduced at the start of the 2007 season so Saturday's games was the 142 game for the Shield, with 112 successful defences and 29 occasions that the Shield has changed hands.
The last time Coastal won the Shield was back in July 2017 when they defeated Technical 1 - 0, but they lost in the next challenge against Selwyn the following month, with Coastal's only defence this season being against Selwyn - which will be only the second time the two sides have met for the Shield, so will history repeat.
