they have midgets playing at half time?  Brilliant!

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Do they get fired on to the ground out of cannons?

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

If this is a true reflection of ages attending the NZFC then the target age for marketing needs to drop to 13 to 15 year olds or is the spectical not there to keep them attending in greater numbers.

I think the age groups offered for selection, bias the result of the poll.

Why 5 year age bands for under 20, then lump everybody over 20 together?  Of course it's going to give you the result we've got thus far.  Would it be any different at any other football league in e.g., UK?

What was the point of the poll?  And of the age group bands?
football tragic for too long

The age at which we loss most players from the game is 15 to 20, they also make up the smallest percentage of supporters. This is even more evident when the youth squads play curtain raisers, they sure stand out in the crowd when they do stay to watch.

To grow the game we need to keep this age group interested in the game. Is the limited youth leagues and college games enough to do this.

Sorry for late response, but life has been busy lately.

I think it would be good to have some curtain raisers involving local high school teams- maybe shortened games (committing the whole of Sunday afternoon to footy might be difficult for some spectators). Likely to bring their families, school friends etc to the games, and hopefully also build a bit of atmosphere. (could look to doing alternate school matches one week, with "ethnic community" matches- as suggested by Daikiwi in another thread- on the other.)

In order to keep the young players and their supporters on for the NZFC match, could have Player of the Day award or something at half time. Could possibly look to have that award sponsored, with a prize- and maybe have it a schools league player of the week, which might encourage others not involved in the curtain raiser to attend.
