Could it just be prep for OFC C/L - 3 keepers ** out field players (IIRC)
Carr just wasn't available for the first seven or so weeks of the season, so they've used their NYL goalie on the bench.
They've waited until the guys were in town and available, even if already signed, to announce them publicly. Why, beats me.
