JD.  I believe NZ football are looking very closely at online channels for a varierty of products.  Nothing official yet though.

TT.  I think you may be (significantly) over-estimating the Fever's bank balance.  If NZ Football do come up with a viable online product, we might see if there are any synergies we can utilise for our ideas.

HN not really, I doubt you have much cash at all, but you said you were looking into it before so you must have some resources, be they time, money or expertise. You are certainly thought leaders in the football community and could do some good things in terms of promotion.

NZFC TV coverage and sponsorship as usual always ends up high jacking these blogs/discussions. 1/ Having said that I found TBdFSOE's input most interesting and would love a response from NZF and SKY. Anyway, I've really enjoyed this year's Team Wellington and ACFC's home highlight packages. Keep up the great work to those involved. 2/ If Sky can subject me to school kid's and grassroot's 60th division rugby then surely they can spend some of my subscription by covering at least some of the ASB National League. 3/ Then again.....ONLY 3000+ 'football supporters' can be bothered turning up to watch the National League Final show casing half a dozen current or ex All Whites and ex European League players. Is it any wonder SKY treats football with such contempt.

I think if wefootball fans spent as much effort turning up and actually watching NZFCgames as we do criticising (in no particular order) (a) ACFC (b) NZF (c) SKY then we'd have a far healthier competition and have a far better argument to make.

Surely though for all niche sports broadcasting content the future is the web?

That is a good point. There are far more yellow fever than turn up at Team Wellington games. I think the real problem is that most soccer fans don't feel any connection to their team. You can't try and get average fans to come along if actual soccer fans don't.

The last time I saw Greenie he was being carried everywhere on a throne by a team of minions.

Those minions were Dale and Smithy but I assumed that he paid for them from the YF coffers.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

A NZ site with streaming football with local content would be great.
Was fun watching Asian Cup games on the A-league fan central site because no one showed the football on TV in NZ.
