Browne beat his man then got clipped. Simple as that.
Browne beats his man, got touched, didn't fell down, continued his run another few meters crossed the ball, and when nothing came out of it fell down and got penalty??? Simple as that.
Ref did have very poor game and most of the decisions went Auckland's way. I don't think it was deliberate, but he didn't gave impression of someone who can handle such a high intensity game. Not sure where he found 3 minutes of extra time either (each half). Several times dangeour for WaiBop came as a result of fouls not given to Waikato.
In addition, every time when Auckland was pressed high up the field they struggled. This should be of concern to Ramon because that is exactly what will happen in Morocco.
Draw was probably a fair result, but WaiBop paid the price for not scoring from two, second half, very good opportunities. Good learning courve...
Seriously ? I must go to the same games you do ...the one I was at even the Waibop fans were stunned by the stupidity of the Jap boy Browne was gone and it was more the sheer desperation to get him down , and the contact made , that did throw him off balance made it have to be a pen ...
No problem, will get you a free ticket and a pair of glasses...
Just to add... You guys record every game, so hopefully highlights will be available on AFAC website. If got this wrong, more than happy to apologise and get a pair of glasses myself.
