Would love to know what some of these players where on..

According the Herald, Auckalnd City have spent close to $300,000 on player wages with Vicelich believed to be on $50,000 &  Ki-Hyung Lee on $70,000. If thats true that is a staggering amount of money for a semi pro/amatuer competition, no wonder they are desperate for an O League spot.

I suspect that some of the lesser Phoenix players don't get more than $70,000.

Ouch, that would be a bit annoying to see that amatuer players get paid more than you do as a full time professional. Mind you  getting early forties at age 18 in NZ (and not being a rugby player) is nothing to be sniffed at.

Would you pay $70k for Lee and $50k for Vicelich based on what you saw this year????

Just keeps detroying the competition and more money that the national body could have done with to help run the competition properly.

There isn't a lot of money at Team Welly at the moment so I would doubt many (if any) of them would be getting paid much more than a small win bonus.

Love the fact Brando is number one on your Team Otago paid players! I've heard they're getting $4-5k this season from one of the players in the team but that could just be smack.

I was told when he was first signed that Costa was getting 70k, but not sure how much truth is in that
