Buffon you will get your chance in two weeks. Your lot have to try and stop the little sod from scoring. That is going to be the game of the year so far. Auckland vs Waitakere out West.

Hmm. I might venture along to that one. Should be fun, don't they both usually end up kicking the sh*t out of each other. I could wear my Retro-Ricki to wind up the locals.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

City vs United always turns into a great game. I went to the first game this year and it was a great game. Regardless of any football or lack thereof, it was a game full of passion and fire with both teams giving not an inch. If all games in the NZFC were like that then we would have a league we could enjoy every week.

Last time the two coaches had a right flick at each other in the first minute when Bale was booked for a pretty innocuous challenge on the Korean. Milicich gave the ref a serve and then Campbell I think it was said something and Milicich gave him a serve as well. After that sitting behind the dugout was priceless. The comments were flowing thick and fast and some of them were bloody funny. If i can I will try and stand there again. Both coaches are happy to sit outside the dugout so you can hear what they are saying.

Jag, how about Auckland vs Otago this Saturday ?

I'm hoping to be there.

Ah ha! Sounds like a cunning plan.

If tw scored then they could have celebrated too. Benji just loves scoring goals he celebrates most goals like that wherever he plays. The biggest w*#nker of the day was the fat bloke who abused him at the end of the game infront of Benjis friends and family. Why is it ok for fans to abuse players and give them stick but not ok for a player to celebrate a goal and rub the oppositions nose in it after getting stick all game? Its not like it would have started a crowd riot the people behind me paid 7 dollars to wonder what sauce they had for the sausages for 80% of the game!!!! ONREE2008-01-15 15:06:55

Wasn't there but I'd hope that if people had seen the "fat bloke" abusing him in front of his family then he would've been getting it on here as well.

BTW, sauce is an important part of the whole sausage process you know!

The funny thing about Totori's celebration was him doing Smeltz's Phoenix hand gesture blatantly in front of Plodder, Daniel, Spoonley and Brownlie.

They all thought he was a complete twat.

Shouldn't they?

Good on him for winding us up - it personally doesn't bother me when you look at the big picture. Sure, I'd despise him at the time, but that emotion just makes football much more interesting. However, he did break the rules. Whether the rules are justified or not, they're there and they should have been enforced.

The ref getting booed off at the end. Not often that I've heard that at matches in EnZed.

Happened all the time at Knights matches.

They weren't booing the ref mate

Loved the Welly game on Sunday. Got there a bit late with my 3 yr old , sat at the back of the stand and then saw Daniel was right next to us! My daughter actually watched some footie for 20 mins before we had to retire to the sos sizzle and the playground.

Why oh why wasnt Raf starting, TW looked so aimless without him. They need him and Barron to work the ball thru the midfield. With Ellensohn and the midget up front, long balls were a complete waste of time. I think that Corrales got a hatrick the prev week, but he looked lost against WU.

TW were a bit unlucky to lose, but really only Imray kept them in it. TW seem to have lost the shape and style they had earlier in the season, and to me Western Suburbs play with more organisation.

I thought you were young enough to get in for free with an adult DKP

Just got back from the match. Saw Daniel and Draper there. Didn't see you DP (by the way we lost to your boys 2-1 yesterday, but that was enough for us to clinch a playoff spot. We need to avoid a 2 goal loss, so we were happy and timewasting whilst losing. I gifted Dom a goal )

Yeah that's what I thought. Anelka did it for Bolton Wanderers too. Full credit to Totori, though it was a gut wrench to lose that goal so late.

Hardly worth a card News?  All he did was wind us up with a bit of celebrating.

Have to agree. Raf wound up the HBU bench after scoring the winner a few weeks back. No big deal.

Newtown Park crowd today versus Waikato.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Behind the flat there would have been 7 or 8 standing buffy... which was about the same as yesterday.

Incidentally, that crowd yesterday was small.

Yeah it's been that way the last couple of games sadly. Should be a bumper crowd out at FTP though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Lucky there were a few Nix fans slumming it to make up the numbers!

Where's that game next week, Buffy? Might take the mo along to that, it's usually a kick fest when you two play each other isn't it?

Oops. Just noticed it's at FTP.

Well...FTP is really a dump in the middle of nowhere. Hard to give directions i'm afraid. But yeah if you can make it do bring the mo along it promises to be a great derby.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yeah, might well do. Went to FTP when Team Welly beat WU at the start of the season. No atmosphere tho', seen more life in a tramp's vest!

Still, I suspect it might be different next week!

Wouldn't expect any atmopshere at a Waitak game unless they're playing City.

nah wont be different this week. WU have no atmosphere no matter where. For one of the big clubs their support is so quiet and wet. They aren't slow to sl*g off coaches if they are losing but they dont seem to enjoy when they are winning. How their coaches don't turn around and punch some of their supporters I have no idea. It was disgraceful the comments thrown at Steve Cain in year two absolutely disgraceful. When we beat them it was a complete disgrace what so called supporters yelled. I dont believe they have supporters I think they have attendees
