Waitaks brains trust of Danny Hay, Chris Milisich and Jeff Alexander had Auckland sussed on Sunday. Game plan was almost perfect and Auckland couldnt counter it. Guess the old Auckland players and Jeff Alexander knew what to expect and worked out a good strategee. Auckland will have to be better prapared next game against the westies.

They've still never beaten us....

Three for me, and two for them.

Would love to see Waitak vs Manawatu, should be a good game. If only the NZFC were televised...

Milicich is certainly turning them around quickly. I went to the first match against Wellington and they were a long ball team that went nowhere. After watching the match on the weekend I was stunned to see the difference. Strong and physical across the field coupled with a passing game that was effective. They had Auckland City scrambling for most of the second half. They have emblen and Krishna to come in and they will make them even more tough to beat. Its going to be a hell of a season.

First time Ive seen 'Danny Hay' and 'brains' in the same sentence, apart from when 'has no' is between them.

Rumour is Embo's unsure wether Waitak will offer him a contract - and is considering one from Japan.

Not sure how true/recent this is though

Thought Emblen was Assistant Coach but didn't see him on Saturday.
Is in the squad for WCC in Japan I think ?

Emblen was there - he warmed them up and then he was sitting in the dugout. He has broken a bone in his ankle but they are hopeful he will play in Japan.

Yet you still didn't manage to win the league...

Three for me, and two for them.

Yeah they're the only ones i will ever win cause it was my last year of school, otherwise i'd have to make more room on my wall for the rest of them hehe.

Three for me, and two for them.
