I missed something, the WeeNix now play under their own name instead of Lower Hutt?

Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009

I post the results when I see them RT'ed onto my feed on Twitter cuz I think maybe someone on here is interested. I don't follow the Academy account or go actively looking for their results.

Miramar Rangers 2 - WeeNix 1

Full Replay of the game here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIryhXVlvaY

Was a pretty entertaining game I thought. There's a lot of talent in the wee Nix side for the future.

Saul Milovanovic playing for Miramar - what a signing. Regular for Norwich in the U23 prem, recently got a few games for Kettering in the National League North. Still very young, 21

How is this young guy going in CL?

As an aside can the Nix sign a non Kiwi/Aus kid on a scholarship deal still leaving 5 visa spots in the senior squad? I presume from the Calvin Harris days, that’s a No

I do believe you have answered your own question.   The lad would have to be considered an import.  he is good, yes, but not that good

Rovers 2-0 up after 25 mins.

Comfortable win for Rovers, WeeNix had tons of ball in the second half but created nothing.

NCR are a fairly decent team, both will be in National League (probably the lower end of it), will be good to see them clash again.

Always going to be hard for them when they are missing 5 starters for them (including Van Hattum).

Goal keeper made some good saves, Conchie in the middle had some nice moments.

Not sure I’d consider van Hattum a missing starter, given he hasn’t played for the Weenix since November last year.
Unless you mean the other one, who also couldn’t be considered a starter since he generally starts for the Cap Prem side.

Van Hattum won't get minutes this season unless there is a large injury crisis IMO. He will be back with the Weenix to get minutes in the legs.

There is a slight oddity in that the Weenix won the O'Brien Shield in round 7 and hold their first defence in round 6!

The will keep it for summer if they can win or draw against
Miramar on 21 June
Whanganui on 24 June
North Wgtn on 22 July and
Napier on 12 August

On recent form, if any one of them were to challenge for it Napier stand the best chance.

I have horrible opinions

Can’t really blame them, it’s a slog to get down to Welly every second week
