Nah, just knew they were going.  Last I saw of them was as they were doing warmdowns and I sprinted to the car to go to the pub.

Excellent. Hope we play the same team next, should do wonders for our goal difference. Don't know what the score was at our game today.

Saw the Team Wellington vs Otago U game at the brook today. 2nil to TW which pretty much assures then a spot in the semis. First a easy tap in from a man unmarked at the back post, second a clear penalty. No idea who scored what.

Followed it with a 6-5 win over Canterbury.

Obviously gelling as a side when you compare it to the beating they got in the opener.

Waitakere United 6 Team Wellington 2 in today's semi-final.

Waitakere 3-0 up in 18 minutes, 4-0 by half time, 5-0 3 minutes into second half.  Game degenerated after that with lots of subs and the result beyond doubt.  3 goals in the last 5-10 minutes.

Wellington just had no answer to Dakota Lucas and Ryan de Vries in the first half - Lucas got a first-half hat-trick, and could have had 5 or 6.

Wellington significantly under strength due to the late change to play today instead of later in the weekend.  RUmour around Central league grounds was that they were trying to find players as late as yesterday afternoon.

Come on The NZFC double!

Never in doubt.
Already one of the top youth development areas in NZ football, just wait 'til Ed Baranowski's athletes start coming through in the next 12-18 months.

TW currently winning 6-0 over Otago with about 25 to go.

Edit. 8-0 now

Anyone know if the three overage players rule is still in place for the youth league his year?TopLeft072011-10-29 14:29:54

Yoof with a 1-0 win over Canterbury. Only watched first 45 and then went to wakefield for the Wimmins Yoof game so missed the goal.

Thought J Gully and Pickering looked good in the fist half and James Wypych impressed as well. TeeDubs forwards a little profligate shooting over three or four times.

Having said that the visitors should have lead at the half after a free kick being called when they had possession on the penalty spot, The ball was taken back to outside the area on the byline when advantage would possibly have seen a goal.

Can someone explain why these two teams play at exactly the same time every week but at different venues? Seems stupid.

Now 5 here.  Wypych with his second.  Based on the two games I've seen so far this season Wypych could make a run for the first team.
