Go Manawatu stop the westies in their stride. Going to be a hell of
a game as you will have to attack them at will and then be prepared
for the counter attack from pearce and totori. Bloody difficult to
stop - go green

So who's going this Sunday? I should be there. Might have some spare tickets to give away at the gate too. Preference given to Gooners

We were well in control and then the ref makes a shocking call that hands the opposition the game, coach Milicich said.
It was negligent, disgraceful and Im left horrified at the refereeing performance today.
With YoungHeart then having the advantage of an extra man, it took them no time in dominating the game. They finally manage to steal the win in extra time when crowd favourite Adam Cowan powered home a header.
YoungHeart coach Shane Rufer was very happy with his teams performance today.
We had desire today. You shouldnt need it for these big games but it hasnt always been there lately, Rufer said.
Today also showed that it doesnt matter which league or which placing in the table you are. If you have the right attitude, you can win.
Waitakere coach Chris Milicich, however, was left ruing the performance of his team and the referee.
We didnt play well today and they did, he said.
However, it should have been us today. Two horrific calls from the referee gave the game away today. I am now left seriously questioning the refereeing standard here in New Zealand.
That was the worst refereeing performance I have ever seen.

Should be interesting, if you made a fraction of those comments in the A-League you would be in the stands for a few games and the club would be fined.
Will help that NZF debt along having some of Waitakere's money.

Oh how sad...poor JAFAs... Mr Whinging Milicich has set himself up nicely as a target for verbals from the Bay Army on Feb 23.Can't wait.

Awesome second half. Brilliant first goal from Nieres and some great saves from Andrew Bailey. Michael who?????
The sending off of their keeper certainly changed the game but either way, Manawatu were not disgraced in their performance. Only 0-1 down at halftime to some brilliance from Totori. This result has certainly opened up the top of the table and done Wellington a favour.

God how i wish i saw Sex Dawkins face after that. And Dewhurst the prat!!!
Three for me, and two for them.

they won't sanction Milicich. They can't afford to as the Auckland Clubs have more money than NZ Football. At least this game has made the league interesting. On a separate note at least we have one coach in the NZFC prepared to state an opinion. I am not sure about the rest of you but I hate listening to the lame verbal rubbish we listen to. I want to hear what they have to say and why - whether we support then or not it is still good to hear.

Yeah Waitak seem to get the rub of the green (excuse the pun) when it comes to decisions from NZF - can't see much happening but HN you're right a nice hefty fine would look good in the NZF bank account

I think both auckland sides get the rub of the green when it comes to decisions from NZF. It certainly seems like it to the rest of the country. A hefty fine for NZF is I would imagine $500 and for the Auckland Clubs that is chicken feed.

Yea, fair call MARAMA, someone actually saying something is refreshing... still its good to have more than just one person to target our abuse at.. ( can anyone guess who the other 'westy' will be.?).
Can't wait...

Be nice if the rules of other leagues applied here, things like leaving the field of play to provoke opposition fanbs, abusing refs.
Mind you, in the A-League you can punch an official and have no punishment.

I think all the coaches can stand a bit of abuse. They are tough men most of them or they wouldnt have got to where they are. No wilting flowers in coaching even at the NZFC level so you have to say they will most probably smile and laugh after the fact. I remember watching the first NZFC Grand final when everyone raced onto the field and there were a couple of idiot City fans who raced up t the coaches of Waitakere and were jumping up and down and yelling at them. All three coaches just stopped, looked at them and turned away. They had just lost a grand final and didnt response to stupid fans I thought that was pretty good self control. I have seen lots of coaches be taunted and they all seem to not engage and if anything they seem to smile about it. So if we have to taunt someone it might as well be them as the players can't hear us.

If you look around the 1:21 mark, I think you'll see the Chris Sillybich has got grounds for a gripe...

Probably put Bazeley in goal again.

If that is the decision that got Eaddy sent off then Milicich certainly has the right to complain. From what I can see there is not a foul in there at all, let alone send the keeper off. Against Otago WU have been pretty open about saying that Otago defended well and they have made no excuses. As much as us fans can sl*g off the coaches and teams sometimes they are right - hardly ever happens :) but they are sometimes right. Can you imagine what our coaches would have done. Roger would have done his nut and he would be right.
How many of the coaches after seeing that will agree with Milicich? It was a poor decision

If I lived in Waitakere or supported them, then maybe your words might have found their mark, but then I didn't expect you to pick up on that when I was mocking Sillybichs name.
Stick to what you know up there in Manawatu, beer-bellied share cropping....
