We were better with  ball
and defense
and attack
we kicked out Perth Glory <or insert name here>
til they couldn't get back
They were beaten by masters
of yellow and black
and they went home to aussie
with their tail in their crack!
Alive,  Alive
Alive in yellow
And the Phoenix is rising
Aliive in yellow!

Could make a real easy chant out of John Lennon's Give peace a chance. Don't know what though

chorus of the song is

"All we are saying"
"Is give peace a chance"

Just the chorus:

Phoe-nix lalalalalala
Phoe-nix lalalalalala

La lala Phoenix.

Scarves above the head swinging anti-clockwise.

Could do this chant for a number of players.

Example would be:

He plays on the left,
He plays on the rii-ii-iight,
That boy Daniel,
Makes (Sydney/Melbourne/Queensland, whoever is playing) look sh*te.

He's sh*t on the rii-ii-iight,

I like it. Nice and simple rhythm, would be reasonably easy to propagate to the masses.

Yeah Millwall FC - The Lions use this

They sing :

We are millwall
Super Millwall
We are Millwall
From the Den

It's part of there revelling anthem

"No one like us"

They sing
No one likes us (medium shout)
No one likes us (loud shout) - usually followed by finger gestures...
No one Likes us (medium shout)
We don't care (low)
We are Millwall (medium shout)
Super Millwall (medium shout)(imp: Super Lions)
We are Millwall from the Den (medium shout)

Many brits clubs improvise versions of this classic working class footy song.Gregg02008-07-31 21:13:40

Like the idea,I will be joining in the "We are Phoenix,Super Phoenix.." on Wednesday.Just a shame quite a few in the Fever dont know the traditional football songs that are easy to adapt and quality.

I'd just like to point out that it was me and my mate Mark who started the
'You're going home in a Qantas Aeroplane and 'Seagull Seagull' last season although Seagull is used at Brighton and Hove

Seagulls - note the plural - is used at Brighton & Hove Albion. We do not sing Seagull in the singular. We sing it as that's our nickname, not to greet the appearance of the bird.

Of course, when the chant starts up at the Nix, I sing it as Seagulls, close my eyes and pretend I'm back home!

As a funny aside, anyone remember the lazy journalist from one of the gutter tabloids who went to a Millwall - Brighton game? He heard the crowd singing Seagulls and then wrote a damning report about fascist football fans singing Sieg Heil. It was even investigated until someone pointed out the obvious and embarrassed journalist went away.

I would like to point out that it was me who started the Seagull chant at the first pre-season game last year  when a seagull flew into the stadium! (it was a reference to the skinhead 'Seig Heil' myth) I also started the original you're going home on a QANTAS charter flight last year which has mutated into the newer version.

Im not saying that we should copy the other A-league teams too much but i like this chant for the Newcastle jets:  chttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nedm36L518o
We can just rplace the word Newcastle WITH Wellington and i reckon it would work.

well im sure other clubs use this chant so how about we "copy" it from them.

I don't think I've seen other clubs doing this particular chant, but to be fair to jackass666, all fans copy from other fans so we don't need to be too protective about it.

Brighton had a similar thing back in 95 to 97. To to the tune of the Go West song, "jump around if you hate Archer" (Archer was the business man trying to kill the club).
