Hold that thought. Ludicrous shipping charges of $12   to get a general admission tkt delivered. More than half the price of the actual ticket!!!!!!  I think I will go to an outlet and buy instead.

Went to get tickets at Ticketek using my season passes . They said I couldn't choose the seats - I asked whether they were 100% certain on this and they said they were. I got given GA tickets to theTrack area.  Is this right - I would have thought being members we should be able to choose seating!

So, ahh, probably missed something quite obvious here, but do season ticket holders use their plastic ticket or need to get a paper ticket ?

Same thing when I went in (although they were a lot less certain!) ... I decided to wait until someone can confirm about the tickets.

So, are GA tickets OK for what'll be the fever zone at FMG or do we need to get the GA - Yellow fever ones? and if so, can we get them with our season passes?

I had this very same problem. Ticketek are telling me that all the members are lumped together, regardless of whether you are in the Fever Zone, or sitting half way around the stadium.

When I asked if there were any Fever tickets, or home supporters area, they said 'no only general admission tickets'.

So now I have my free ticket that says 'GA MEM' and one that says 'GA PUB'.
If there are 'GA FEVER' tickets available, I am going to go mental.

I just hope the 'GA MEM' and 'GA PUB' tickets will be allowed to congregate together in Section G, without hassles from security. Which is my main concern.Ard Righ2009-11-12 16:05:32

So if we aren't members does that mean we can't sit with the members?

I hear they'll also have separate toilets and concession stands for members and non-members.

You shouldn't  knock a  place that is relativly close and has another 80,000 potential supports.
Maybe try and extend your horizons and have a good time anyway. To me it sounds like you've already decided your not going to have a good time. Have a go anyway.
For towns  over 20,000 people I would rate Palmy over true "shiver" worthy places such as

Invercargill
Timaru
Lower Hutt
Upper Hutt
Porirua
Wanganui
Hastings
New Plymouth
Rotorua
Whangarei

Still could have a good time in all of them.

Working on it.  I'm getting a quote or two anyway, and then will spread the word.  What are people willing to pay?

Around $20 along with splitting the cost of fuel sounds like a good deal to me.

I do not know the venue at all but on November 14, met a visitor from PN at the ROF who explained that the pitch is surrounded by some sort of  motor racing course .. I assume this is the 'track' referred to on the admission tkts we received for our season passes. We have also bought a third tkt for Cronus no. 3 who does not have a season pass. That tkt is also for GA .. but does not mention the word track.

Anyway, a couple of questions whch perhaps locals can answer.

Standing on the 'track' .. is there going to be a 'view' of any sort or are you on the same level as the pitch? IE is it 'banked' at all??

Will the third GA tkt enable C3 to be in the same zone as the others? It doesn't really matter but just wondered how many GA divisions they were planning to have.

How are tkt sales going, and how big is the ground? Hopefully the form of recent weeks will have got interest up and running ... a sell out would be great.

Hi!
Assuming the bus to Palmy will be from Wellington?  Anyone roadtripping down from Auckland?

They got back to me about a bus, but it would be $30 each (that includes fuel Braveheart). That's if we can get 45 people on it, so I'm not sure.  If it's not full, I would lose a fair bit of money - and I wouldn't make anything if it is.  I'm not sure it's a goer...

Just clarifying .. the two that we got via the season passes say 'general admission - track' ... the other one says 'general admission - public' .. can anyone indicate what (if any) the differences may be ...

Hope they've thought to reserve the "away supporters" area too?

The "track" is a stockcar track. Unless they have set up temporary seating on it there won't be anyone sitting down there.
My understanding is that there is grandstand seating or General Admission and that's it. Someone may correct me.

Are we meeting at a particular bar first? I might be able to organise something or we could just pick one.

Thanks muchly ... so hopefully the stockcar track is banked and there will be a view, otherwise there will be a lot of people down there and unless you are at the front, you wouldn't see anything ...

I'm running a limited number of bus seats - see separate Bus to Palmy thread here http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11181

Kiwi Jambo also has a few seats in his Jambo Bus - check the Lifts to Palmy thread here http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11187&PN=1
