Sept 13th ay?? I'm very tempted! My bro-in-law and his fiancee` live in melbourne so we can have free accomodation. How much would tickets cost and how could we get there/get tickets in the "fever zone" or wherever you guys are gonna be? Anyone's got some good heads up re: cheap flights?

How much would tickets cost ?
Check prices here, look at Tickets to Visitor's Area (Away Team);
Anyone's got some good heads up re: cheap flights?

Qantas offering $446 return - direct flights - plug in your preferred dates and see how you go;

Alright lads, nothing definite, but a proposal.

If we were to do a Fever T for away jaunts who would be starter to buy one ?  We've had an idea put to us, but to make it financially viable we'd need more than 2 or 3 people to agree to purchase.

If we had a t made that was kind of a badge of honour only available to those who have attended an away match would people be keen ?

Chucked it in here as this seems to be the match we'll have the most at early season.
I'll take one and I'd expect most of my accompanying Whanau will too.

Get an ANZ QANTAS Credit card. Spend about 60K on it and rack up enough points to get a free return flight?

Sounds a bit flippant of me, but that's what I did a few years ago and i've funded 3 trips to Aus like this so far. I put absolutley everything I can on it and pay 100% off every month. The gold card also give you free international travel insurance (never needed it so can't comment if it's any good). The QANTAS reward scheme is free and the points don't expire under current T&C.

Ps. I am not a qualified financial advisor or a salesman for ANZ or QANTAS, but I have been in a fortunate position where I have been spending a lot over the last few years doing up the house and it soon racks up. You just have to remember to pay it off.

I'm slightly disappointed!

Anyone keen for a kickabout vs The Tards?

Was trying to sort one back in January but as it was a friday match it was too hard. Sunday game this time...

Odds of Oska ending up in a strip club with Greenie?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

For the record he means Feverish not Greenacre...

Don't need to read that headline on Stuff...

"Greenacre loves it Down Under"

"Wellington Phoenix New Recruit Chris Greenacre was spotted leaving Goldfingers in Melbourne early on Sunday morning just hours before his side was due to take the pitch against the Melbourne Victory.

When questioned about the insident by team management Greenacre replied "People have been calling me Greenie so I got confused and thought that maybe I was brought down here to play lots of Away Games"

After some of the comedic options presented in this thread I thought I had better double check.

I have organised a 'work' trip to Melbourne... convienently over next weekend so i'm there for the Tards game.

Few questions, is the Celtic Club a defnite goer, what time shall we all convene and what price away tickets should be purchased in the links previously posted.

cheers

Celtic Club is a great place to warm up....and then just roll down the hill to Etihard 30 mins before kickoff and buy your tickets at the gate....

If you're lucky you'll get a police escort to the ground like we did.....

Lose control, of body and soul.
Don't move too fast, people, just take it slow.
Don't get ahead, just jump into it.
You all hear about it, the Fever will do it.

In case anyone's interested there is a big AFL finals game on at the MCG the Saturday night before the Nix vs. Tards game. Tickets go on sale to the public Wednesday 9.00am (Aussie time) - I would imagine you will have to be in quick to get tickets.

Here's the link to ticket info.

Went to my one and only AFL game a couple of months ago - thoroughly enjoyed it - action from go to whoa.

How many people are heading over for this match?

Me +2 here.

Saturday afternoon at around 3pm at St Kilda Beach, followed by a refreshing ale or two afterwards.
Tards have a few coming, numbers to be confirmed!
