Melbourne 8th April 2018

Howdy all,

I realise it is still awhile away but as flights are booked I thought I'd put it on here.

Me and a couple of mates are off to Melbourne for the game on the 8th April. If anyone else is going over it would be great to arrange a meeting spot prior to the match. Previously we've just kept an eye on forum and twitter to find out but I thought I'd give this a go this time.

You might want to get in touch sooner rather than later as the main guy that organised them has moved to Sydney, but the others do look at it. I went last year and hadn't heard anything from them until the day before. Still managed to meet up with a couple of them at the Cherry Tree pub (about a 20 min walk from the ground), think they sometimes go to another pub in Richmond thats slightly closer

I’m a Melbourne native, who has gone to a couple of ‘away’ games there, and who will have a party of 5-7 going. The best away game attendance that I can remember was going to a City match a couple of years ago. Siggy ended up sitting with us in the crowd with his crutches. We had about 50 that niget. We started out at Transport bar in the city and walked down the Yarra to the game. (About the same distance as Cherry Tree).

Transport is conveniently located for anyone coming into town. It’s across the road from Flinders street and if one wants to be lazy, there is always a tram that can take you to the ground.

That would be my suggestion and one that I will do with my travelling mates, so come on down. Just look for us, we will be the ones dressed in yellow and black ;)

Melbourne based now, a couple of us run the Melbourne page but its still pretty quiet.

With regards to a pre-match venue nothing is planned yet but Transport is as said earlier pretty good.
