Any consensus on where to meet for a drink (or two) pre-game on 16th?  there's a couple of places mentioned in the thread already

Cheers!

I suspect Transport in Federation Square will be the go. It was for the double banger in Melbs last year. I recall beer costing an arm and a leg in there, although quite a selection available.

Have we moved on since then?

I'm thinking Transport for the Heart game & maybe Charles Dickens for the Victory game as Liz suggested, plans are always flexible though.

Liz suggested Transport. Transport is far more convenient for walking to the match. Dickens is good for after match (from experience).

We could of course do both! And nothing stopping us from SINGING IN THE TRAM.

Heaps of time.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Celtic Club (if open) has accommodated us previously although that was when matches were down at the Tardis. Transport would be handy for, well, transport to the ground. #70 Tram along Flinders St to Rod Laver then stroll across the road

Looking forward to the game, got my tickets sorted for the game. Will update when I receive them, although that might be on game day. Hatter, you got yours yet?

Looks like we should have good numbers for both the Heart and Victory games!

As an alternative pub you could go to The Mitre Tavern on Bank Place, off Collins St btwn Willam and Queen Sts. Or Turf Bar on Queen St.

Hi Melbourners! I'm over here at the moment. Any hot tips on where to watch tonight's game in the central city? Have been to the Charles Dickens and know that's a pretty good one. Just worried that with AFL starting this w/e, somewhere with more screens etc (a la Four Kings) might be a better bet. Cheers for any help!
