Does anyone know where Phoenix Supporters gather in Melbourne. I am going to be there Friday night and would like to watch the game with some of our guys.

Transport in Fed Square maybe?.

I watched a game there a few months back and found 10-12 other nix supporters to yell with.

Thanks WHL. I hope they werent all Spurs fans.

I suppose we could always talk about home grounds post 2012.

Not sure of a dedicated Nix venue - but a very good football bar is the Charles Dickens Tavern on Collins St

Been there. Done that. Enjoyed the Atmosphere. I think I'll take that option rather than drinking with the Spurs boys at Transport in Feds Square.

Was the "Unofficial" Phoenix bar in Melbourne during my time there.

Thanks Kiwi Pie. Is there any time dif between Melbourne and Adelaide. KO 7.30 PM
I recall there are plenty of screens in that bar so I presume it will be on in the bar. No doubt there will be World Cup Cricket, and a bit of local AFL etc. Maybe not Sevens. Need to go to Kenya for that.

Seriously fit girls over there, though. Also, the SA cops have a much better sense of humour and level of restraint than do their Victorian brothers.

Bugger, I was looking forward to Underbelly: Adelaide!

Could not find one bikie run pub to buy speed from. The media has lied to us, man.

Did you find the Boy in the Barrell?

Victree on March 16th - anyone going?  booked our flights this week (thanks mum for the airpoints )
over 14 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
There's two of us going to both the Heart game on 10th March and Victory on the 18th. Hope to see a few YF over from Welly!

Plane tickets booked for Victory game in March.

One of the better side-effects of Christmas over-indulgence.

I know, I know, its serious!

Might join you if can find some cheap enough flights. Considering going to the heart game the week before too

Allegedly

Wanting to book tickets for Tards game on 16th March, I see you can book on Ticketek in the Away area - but is there anything else I need to know? ie. is there a top deck and bottom deck? and where do YF-ites usually sit if there is a difference...

No, it's all one area. If you have tickets to the Away bay you will be in the right place.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I haven't booked accommodation yet - does anyone have any tips or recommendations? Keen to stay in St Kilda and am checking a few backpackers out atm but any help would be much appreciated!

Cicciolina's. Best Italian restaurant I've EVER been to. It's in St Kilda. 4 of us had dinner there last time we went over. It just ROCKED. Check it out if you fancy good Italian. Not dirt cheap but not ridiculously expensive either.

Matt stayed in a backpackers/hostel in St. Kilda. Not sure which one. The couple in the bunk bed above him were bonking and a used condom fell down on him. Other than that he said it was great. We stayed in the Ibis in Little Burke Street and caught the tram to St. Kilda. More expensive than Matt's hostel, but we didn't have any used condoms landing on us either...

They serve Little Creatures in their holding bar. Mmmmm, Little Creatures.

I've booked a backpackers in St Kilda now, some mates recommended it... Also asked them about Cicciolina's and they only spoke highly of it so I'll definitely check it out.

On another note, has anyone bought tickets to the game(s) yet?

OK, Got 2 tickets for Victory match on 16th March.

Pax 29530/1, which is slightly bizarre given 30k capacity. Jeez, they even talk their pax up!
