It can all be done reasonably cheaply.

Yeah did see that, you would want to check on those internal flights because they can be bloody expensive.

The Cronuses are booked for Perth and Melbourne .. we are also going to try and have one night at the tennis in Melb  ... that isn't cheap but ah well hopefully it will be worth it as they are up to quarter finals by that stage.

Yep, myself and two others will be there for Melbourne. In Sydney for the Pakistan-Australia ODI in the weekend, then the 'Nix, and then the men's semis and men's final. And some shopping of course. Can't be female, and go to Melbourne without a spot of shopping. And then there's SA 2010. Hello severe financial lockdown

I've informed most violent factions of the MVFC fans of your visit, plus circulated photos of you, plus quoted your rabid anti-Tard, pro-Sydney propaganda. Should be an interesting trip for you...

Level 1 is crap at the stadium for soccer when the seats are in "AFL" position. As I said a while ago elsewhere, try to get the seats in at Etihad, created a great atmosphere at the Gold Coast game.

Shame a few fools can spoil it for 20,000 decent (in the large) members. Yes, a minute percentage of the total MVFC membership base, but a few fools too many if you ask me.

Hi My wife and I will be at both games, Its expensive yes but worth it.
Also at Melbourne the away area is crap, but safer than anywhere else,
some victory fans are agresive and the police would not let us leave for 15 mins after the game

Coming up for the Perth game, this will be my first ever nix game so I cant wait, it will be good to have a few supporters in the away section. There are heaps of Kiwis in Perth so hopefully we will get a  good crowd.
long range forecast is for temperatures back up to 40 next weekend but cooling down on Tuesday(mid 30's).
I'm going to the game with a couple of Irish guys who will be supporting the Phoenix, we will probably meet up in a pub before hand but not to sure which 1 yet, so if anyone has any suggestions let us know.

That is standard protocol at most MVFC games. The WPFC and MVFC fans get along last I heard.

If you want to go to the game and leave in silence, sit away from the away section and wear casual clothes. I did that for a MVFC vs Adelaide game at Hindmarsh a year or so ago and walked out of the stadium as if nothing happened.

Have never been to Etihad .. should we be nervous after this happened last night? Hopefully nowhere near the away fans zone ...

Pretty sure flares are usually lit by the supporters at the end opposite the away fans corner, can't remember if that's the north or south end.
