Friends are trying to coax me into a weekend away to Palmy this weekend (exotic, huh?) I will not, for the life of me, miss the Nix. Is there ANY bar in Palmy that would show the game on Friday night? I have never been there for more than about three minutes, I know little of the area.

I live in Palmy but wouldn't have a clue. My only guess would possibly be Icons but they'll probably be showing rugby or league if theres any on at that time. Possibly try The Grand as well. They showed the All Whites games during the World Cup and I watched football last year in there. Could always just ask the bar staff to put it on.

A few more people seem to be outing themselves as being part of the 'Palmy Army' who travel down to games, is it worth looking to meet up somewhere to watch away games?
I'm not really a social type & can only do Sundays but if someone did try to sort something, I would make the effort for sure.
