Anyone know anywhere in Auckland definitely showing the Phoenix v Newcastle game? Preferably somewhere serving decent food as well??

Cheers.

Hey Steve-O!

The Queensferry hotel has been playing the Nix games with sound. The barman who's usually on is called Ollie. There aren't usually many supporters there, I think four has been the record so far! But I'll try and get there with my retro ricki on, as not to let a fellow Nix supporter watch the game on his own.
The bar's address can be found here: www.queensferryhotel.co.nz

Well, if anyone can get a definite answer before the game that would be great!

Aren't there any sports bars in Auckland that just show everything?? Seems crazy that in a city of that size it's not very easy to find a bar showing a New Zealand team playing football on New Zealand TV!

Cue HappyTed in 5,4,3...

Seriously though, if there is no other sport on most places would show it (unless it is an evening match) but if the Queens Ferry support fans when other stuff is on we should support them when it isn't.

Have one there for me, it's over 20 years since I used to drink upstairs there.

How's my driving? - Whine here

all aucklander's go to the ferry. speaking as one of the three or so phoenix regulars there, won't be there for the next few games and they mustn't forget about us. even if you have sky and would watch it at home, come on down, make it an event. get the casual drinkers to engage with the game.

I will attempt to be there on Sunday although I can't say for definite. I hope the game is on though as I will likely be dragging a few people along with me!!!

I would've thought Foxes would have Nix games on, they are the "home of sport on the viaduct".

I might head down to the queensferryhotel for the game against the Jets on the 4th. If we can get more than 5 there it'll be a record!

Any idea if the Queensferry has the games on a friday night? Just thinking that they will have live music or something on, come kickoff at 10pm tomorrow?
