There will be more than just me for the next away game in NZ (a nice change) and I need some advise.
We have a couple of days spare either side of match day and was wondering if anyone on here could give us some ideas for a day trip or two?
I managed to see a fair bit of Otago when I was in Dunners in December and hoping to see more of the Wellington region.
Cheers, and can't wait to see you all again next month!
Thanks for the tips. A couple of us have done Te Papa before and it is just about the best museum i've been too before. The only better one I have been to is the Apartheid Museum in Joburg.
As for Peter Jackson, had fun last night watching 'Meet the Feebles' - a classic!
Hi mate. Met you in Dunedin, and great to hear you're bringing reinforcements this time.
The drive down the Western Lake road is (in my opinion) really nice, and the final part down the western side of Lake Onoke to Ocean Beach is a bit that many people have never done, and the scenery is SPECTACULAR. You can drive a long way along the beach road. The bachs there are quite the site, and if you are lucky enough to get a day where the wind is really pumping you're in for a treat.
It's a great full day day trip.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

The last time I was down there for a Roar game, I ended up drinking with some Roar fans. They liked beer. A lot.
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

They need to drink that much to make the Queensland women look good!

Edit: C-Diddy- while hassling Queensland women, aren't you yourself somehow related to Newcastle where pasta jars are preferred?martinb2012-01-12 20:26:12

It is my city of Birth. However I was clever enough to find the airport and get out of there!

I'd be willing to help out, and guide and steer you, and assist with beer choices, and make sure you didn't stray into any houses of illrepute along that way, or anything like that.
