still on a high, cant believe we have won the double
Please tell me you're not serious? You think that because someone is voted Player of the Year that it's not up for debate?! Ryan Giggs got the Player's Player of the Year for the Premiership last season but you'd struggle to find a lot of people who agree with it.
Everyone sees football in a different way and it's a game of opinions - always has been. And I don't need any award for someone to tell me who I think the best forward is.
At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to an opinion. There is no right or wrong answer.
those tackles dindane was throwing in were horrid, his one on ash was very similar to the one that saw ribery sent off in the ucl semi, dindane didnt even get a second yellow
yes very much so, cant stand that weedy little prick
I think it is a bit mental how they don't pick player of the year after the seasons finishes.
Apparently he's recently had a meeting with Fluminense but they're unsure as to whether they can afford him or not. He's very keen to go back to Brazil (his land of origin) so I reckon a deal will be done in the best interests of everyone.
As for the club's money situation, the company accounts show a neat balance with no debts. Abramovich wrote off all outstanding loans he had made to the club and its parent company. There are simply sections of the British media that love to hate us. Happens all the time...
i cant be bothered searching for these answers and just kinda presume you know?

PaulSG when do the away shirts get released and how long does malouda have left on his contract?i cant be bothered searching for these answers and just kinda presume you know?
No worries, Downey.
Malouda signed for four years before last season (I guess we should start calling it that???) so he has three years to go as it stands. Good timing by all accounts.
With regards to the away shirt, there is no word coming from the club just yet. However it looks as though we won't have to wait too long as all the current away strips have been reduced which is always a sure-fire sign. Also, all three kits tend to change annually nowadays so I think pre-season would be a realistic release date as it gives breathing space between it and the new home kit release last week.
Hope this helps...

It is true that the loans from the holding company to Chelsea FC plc were fully converted to shares last year. However Abramovich's loan to Chelsea Limited, the holding company which owns Chelsea FC plc, was not. That loan remains owing; in fact it increased from 701m, because Abramovich loaned another 25m in a year when Chelsea's extravagant spending, and the dismissal of Luiz Felipe Scolari and his coaching team, produced losses of 47m.
The accounts of Chelsea Limited (whose name was changed during the year to Fordstam Limited), show that loan still outstanding: 726m, owed to Abramovich.
A spokesman for the club confirmed that yesterday: "Recapitalisation of loans happened at the level of Chelsea FC plc, not the holding company (Fordstam), therefore making the football club debt free."
That's correct Simon. That's why I say that I think the club will delay any new away strips until pre-season so as to allow a gap between that and the home shirt release last week. It's just a way of, in theory, allowing fans to buy all three strips without splashing out in one go.

cant believe joe leaving, another bad decision
good about ballack tho
Whilst Joey is a quality player, he's now 28 and his last two season's (albeit largely affected by injury) haven't been too great. I think the rumoured demands by his agent would have played a big part in him being released as Roman was apparently pretty hacked off at their militant stance.
Whilst I've also read the report linking him with the Middle East, I think he will have to make a tough choice to make. He's been saying he still wants to play for Germany so that would definitely rule out a move to the UAE. Time will tell...PaulSG2010-06-10 19:37:02
* Miroslav Stoch has signed a 4yr deal with Fenerbahce in Turkey. I really don't understand that one as I thought he had a bright future ahead of him at the club. I'd assume it means Scott Sinclair, Jack Cork and Ryan Bertrand will make their loan moves permanent soon too.
* Joe Cole has signed for Arsenal for slightly less money (80k pw apparently) but the deal is laden with incentives.
And so it would appear that the size of the cull this summer is going to be far greater than we all anticipated. Deco rumoured to be next.
Anyway Tottenham Hotspurs are linked as well. There are all sorts of reports saying this and that for Spurs, Arsenal and both Manchester Clubs that it is silly to suggest it has decided until after the World Cup.
He has commented that he prefers the other london clubs (I think to avoid moving) and Harry Redknapp was his former manager at former club in West Ham United for many years. So Spurs has the inside running. There is a better chance of a starting line up with Spurs plus he gets to play with more of his England National Teammates at the club. [At Arsenal there is only 4 English players in the 29 man squad and none of which are in the regular starting line-up, with Theo Walcott being in and out of the line-up]. He will enjoy being at Spurs rather than Arsenal. A mistake going to Arsenal. It would better if he had even gone back to West Ham United than turn up at Arsenal IMHO.AllWhitebelievr2010-06-11 05:17:21
