Yeah I was worried about that with live games. Really happy that I worried for nothing.

Yea no buffering it just reduces quality, I'm on 8mbps download too. Guess I will have to get UFB as well. Another upgrade just to watch some bloody football.

The streaming is good with no buffering. but trying to watch a 20 second highlight clip and boom all the buffering appears.

Another thing that would be great, is a chat window for all the members. A bit of banter is always great.

Use twitter for that. Agree a bit of banter is good. Don't really expect (or really want) it on this service though personally.

Would be a good option though, like the optional scores window. I usually have the chatango football chat up on the iPad when watching early morning footy, but would be better having kiwis on there. Good setup on the site, just the quality holding it back. Great potential though. Looking forward to seeing how the split screen games holds up though, was always a option I wanted on sky. Really disappointed by having to set it as 1500k to get a constant stream after watching a 1080p movie with DD surround off the Apple TV today with no lag. So I would assume it is more there server side than my connection.

Yeah do have a worry about buffering and quality on the split games. I also had a worry about it on live games in general, so pretty happy that it isn't buffering and the quality is good. Hopefully my worries are eased for split games too.

Does it buffer at 3000 for you? You're genuinely the only one I have heard of who has that problem.

Nah I set it to 1600. Couldn't handle 3000. Might try resetting the router and trying again. Because I was watching the preview shows sweet as today. But I have never had problems streaming youtube at 1080p for example. So if mine is bad I can't imagine what people are going through in more rural areas.

30+ second delay from radio sport audio. So might want to avoid twitter to avoid spoilers to missed penaltys.

The only disappointment I had was the lack of pre and post match. It just cut into the start of game, then cut out at the end. Other than that, brilliant.

Actually it seems I just missed pregame. Hand shakes and lineups. That's all good.

I don't know what your agenda is against me. But apparently I can't have a negative opinion on this service? I posted the comment switched back over and it turned to crap, I don't know if it's my internet or what but it is hugely dissapointing. It's nice that you have a great connection and all, but my quality keeps dropping dramatically GIRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOUUUUUUUUDDDDDDD.

Yeah that game doesnt work for me either. Uh oh. Want to watch the west ham game anyway. Just noticed it when was testing 4 screen (which is awesome btw)

I prefer 1-2 screens though as with 4 you're not really watching the games. 2 is nice and easy to switch which is the big screen which is handy. 4 screens will be awesome on final day though, especially with score updates at the top of the screen from other games.

Yeah loving the split screen option. Maybe it's just the novelty but who cares, it's quality.

Must admit, am a little disappointed. I would not consider my internet to be that slow (11 download, 0.8 upload) but I can not stand to watch it on anything above 800kbps otherwise there is buffering every few seconds. Though I do love the split 4 screen!

I'm in the same boat. Can stream anything on Twitch at 720p+ and Youtube at 1080p but can't even get a constant steam at 1600k which isn't even the highest option on non-hd and considering the servers are (hopefully) in NZ it's quite unacceptable. And no I am not just lying to make Sky Sports look good as others keep saying.

For what it's worth mine has been good on 3000 thus far (half time, Arse-Villa). No pauses in streaming, though it did go pixelly for a few seconds.

Are you watching on 3000kbps or Best quality? Watch it on the former and only one game streaming and it's fine. Not quite sky HD but its fine enough - better than sky non-hd football

To anyone complaining about the service with bad connection. Chance is its your ISP limiting speed at off peak hours. I'm on slingshot speed is abouT 7mbps and I'm fine on 3000kbps with no buffering

I got 9mbps download and had to set connection at 800kbps, I can stream twitch at 720p+, Youtube 1080p and Apple Tv 1080p with dolby digital.  I can now watch the on demand games fine at 3000kbps but not the live Man U game. Never heard of ISP capping speeds in off peak hours, who does this?

Guys quick tip if performance is slow - are you using your ISP's own DNS servers? Using opendns or Google DNS or other offshore DNS solutions means you will be connecting to CDN nodes offshore and the performance will suck.

I thought the 3mbps stream was substantially better today than the Asia trophy encodes.

I'm going to develop a nervous twitch if it keeps jerking like this.

Will go nicely with my new found sense of feeling like a midnight pedo rubbing one out in the back room in the dark instead of being able to watch my footy on a fucking television like a normal cunt, all because some dipshit dropped the ball and now I have put my hand in my pocket to feel like an epileptic rapist...

That sir, is comedy gold!

Watching at the moment using a Mac mini hooked up via HDMI to my TV and quality is fine, a little better than SD from what I can see (it does get upscaled by the TV though). No buffering or drop outs for me, although I do have 100Mbps cable so that helps a bit.

I've just watched the Arsenal - Villa game and it was abysmal.

My internet is a reasonable 7Mbps, I have a quad core, custom-built HTPC which can handle everything. Yet half way through the first half it consistently sat at 800 and regularly dropped to 400. It was like watching a game made from lego.

The entire second half jerked so much I nearly turned it off.

[e] Given that's my first post in 6 years it must have been bad !
