yeah because liverpool need to get real, so many of them are so grossly overrated, especially carragher. he has nothing on gallas or ferdinand. the only player i rate their is Torres, and gerrard behind him. they need to come back to earth, this is their chance. get a new manager. stop spending like crazy, and rebuild.

I gather there's a lot of crap going on at board level at Liverpool. Between that and the stupid rotation system, the club are holding the players back from doing what they do best.

Good to see the "A" team starting today, Rafa will no doubt bring back Torres, Babel, Kuyt (shudder), Reina, Stevie G, Mascherano and Aurelio.

Champions League is a different story, with the Kop roaring us on we can beat anyone at home.

Well we just beat the side with the best record in Europe this season. Undefeated in Serie A and only one loss (Away to Fenerbache) all season then they come to our house and Rafa proves that although although he may be struggling with the premiership, he's still the best Champions League manager around.

The Kop roared his name throughout and proved that no other team can boast the atmosphere that Anfield has for a Champions League game.

Our makesh*t defence was appalling, Carra was injured and we seem to have run out of Centre backs again. Torres was brilliant throughout.

Arbeloa looked dodgy at centre back. He got caught out of position so many times. It will be good to get Skrtel or Agger back and Arbeloa back to the right. But it's a good win, hopefully the tide is turning!!!! How many times have i thought that this year! Tyler2008-02-25 12:57:21

Yeah, D looked a bit dicey, and I cna't figure out why Rafa didn't start Skrtel and had him warming the bench? Can't figure that guy out sometimes

Great goals from Torres. Could have gone down in the box for the first one but stayed on his feet. Good to see. His 2nd was a great strike. Third one he was alert to the keeper being out, well finished. And Tuncay is a cheatin' b'astard. (probably didn't "feel" it hit his arm. like Holland in th A-League final). Scored his other one with his shoulder too, although that might just have been legal. Excellent result, bring back Carra, and get rid of Lucas. Did nothing but give the ball away, then didn't look interested in getting it back at all.

I thought that about Tuncay too.  Sit him down, show him the replay of it clearly hitting his arm, then show him the replay of his protests and ask him to reconcile the two.  Cheat.

I'm pretty sure Skrtel was recovering from a calf strain and Rafa didn't want to risk him.
