[QUOTE=Jazzman]Ian Ayre has waded in as well , I see. I wonder if pressure from on high was brought to bear on Kenny and Suarez , insisting on apologies. Some US papers have picked the story up as well; the main gist there has been the potential damage to LFC brand internationally if this was allowed to carry on. Just idle speculation on my part but if Fenway looks at LFC as an asset for possible future sale , they wouldn't want a permanent stain on their asset , would they?
So this. The whole apology is a directive from on high. The whole situation has been nasty. Tell you what though, I wouldn't be surprised to see Suarez end up at Madrid in the summer. I don't want it to happen of course, I just think this is the reality of ruthless businessmen in charge.
