I'm saying that money isn't the be all and end all when it comes to who players sign with, CL football seems to be the bigger draw card. e.g. Pool are a bigger club than Spurs and pay on average more in salary, however we missed out on 2-3 signings for them in recent years due to their CL status. Players chose Spurs over Liverpool and that as due to just one season of guaranteed CL football. Basel can offer a much better offer, players get to live in an amazing city (been there and can attest to it) and again, wages may be less but are tax free. The major card at play here is the CL games.
