Is that underestimating United a bit? I, like anyone who recognises what is good and pure in the world, have full faith that they will lose all of their first ten games, be in the relegation zone by Christmas, and scrap their way to a respectable 15th by seasons end. But I worry that a side that qualified for the champions league last year and has spent a sharkload since then might do slightly better than that.
That said, we've all seen that a top four finish followed by spending sharkloads in the summer doesn't necessarily do much does it!
