Striker fees are pretty inflated these days simply because there aren't many around.
I think you guys did the smart thing in paying Benteke's release clause and getting him in for pre-season. No faffing about, all sorted, player bedded in, and off you go.
As opposed to Arsenal, Spurs, ManU attempting to sign a striker in the final days... yikes
Benteke has a thigh strain...yay.
