To me, all the "criticism" of the long ball from coaches/fans/pundits (of any team) is either just said to get under the opposition skin, just jumping on the criticism bandwagon etc. Players & Coaches do what is "best" dependant on circumstances.

The "Long Ball" has a place in the game - it requires skill in execution, timing, accuracy etc. Whose to say Fellaini wont do something like this from a "Long Ball"  ;-) ....#deluded
