Just like Michael, ive always thought carrick should be a regular starter. Hes one of those players that brings certain things to a game that only real quality players have, consistently awesome passing, composure on the ball, and he can score some great goals too (anyone remember United's 6th goal in the 7-1 win over Roma a couple of seasons ago?).
It looks like the long term future is bright for United as well, Johnny Evans, Danny Simpson and Rafael at the back.

Rooney, just turned 23, Ronaldo 23, Tevez 24. Foster ridiculously young for a top goalie (maybe 23ish). As always with United, there are top players coming through the ranks. And Rafael's twin brother, Fabio Da Silva, is rated higher than Rafael, but he's injured for quite some time.
