I thought he leveraged the clubs assets to get loans to buy the club, so indebted the club around 660mill pounds. His arrival has not seen massive spending, compared to when we were a plc.

He is just increasing merchandise/sponsorship and ticket revenue to service the debts.

And Man Utd revenue for 2007/2008 was 324.8 mill euro or at todays exchange rate 280mill pounds of which AIG pays 14.1mill per season. a difference of 265.9mill pounds (of which a large chunk will be merchandise sales)
