There was controversy a few years ago when Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wasn't allowed "Jimmy" on his shirt, when Jordi Cruyff was allowed to have "jordi". Premier League said it was because he had it that way at Barcelona and also Jordi regarded himself as Catalan and that was the Catalan way.
