Oh cool, another over reaction to one result. And people wonder why clubs have no stability, no long term thinking and media sesationalise any sign (or smoke) of trouble.
United were flat and did not deserve to win. And for that to happen against a team we are in close competition with is really disappointing. But a few months back we were not competing with Arsenal or Chelsea, let alone Spurs too. And the performance was not too bad, we had the same number for shots, more on target and more of the possession. So maybe a draw would have been a fair result. There are fine margins at the top and today United came out on the wrong side. Arsenal played well so good on them for the result.
I think both sides are pretty evenly matched, but with plenty of weaknesses to exploit. It would have been good to really put a marker down for a top 4 (or 3) place today but there are going to be more chances to do that before the end of the season.
United still have City, Chelsea and Watford at home with Everton and Wolves away. Arsenal also have Everton and Watford away so it seems like those teams will have a bearing on how this all ends up.
