Were you a ManU fan before that Leggy, or did that experience make you a fan?

Bloody interesting. Would love to hear more about this! I think I asked a couple of years ago and you gave some info, but it's very intriguing.

What position were you? Who were you marking a lot of the time? What was it like in the games against those guys? Did you spend any time yarning with any of them etc?

I saw your name in the lineup there so googled, and I see you have a wikipedia page. Who did you get your 2 NZ goals against? What was that like?

I was a fan 12 years before I played against Utd.

On those two occasions I played wide on the left(left wing) and unfortunately ended up playing against George Best for most of the time. The main thing I noticed was how sharp they were off the mark.I can't remember the name of the hotel in Christchurch but both teams ended up there until the early hours of the morning.

Spent most of the time  talking to Best and Crerand. Both were getting stuck into the grog but I hardly drank in those days. I've made up for it since.

If I remember, the 2 goals were against Malaysia and Fiji. I did get more than those but they were not full A internationals.
