Good win. Another tail of "possession doesn't win football games". Everyone played very well.

People might talk about the free kick we scored from not being a foul, but 10 minutes later Martial and James go 2 on 1 and Fernandinho falls over and the ref gives it... so swings and roundabouts.

Really City lost today because United defended superbly. There was a great moment in the game where AWB tackled Sterling. Both players then went to recover the ball before AWB, realising Sterling was only going to try and beat him again, decided not to bother.

Let's not hold our breath for the media to criticise a really poor team selection by Pep Guardiola.

Feel a switch has been flicked in the united camp since we were punched up by Burnley at home in January. Those were becoming desperate times. Six weeks later and what a difference - Played 10, Won 7, Drawn 3 and Lost 0. Some will say 'oh well you beat Tranmere and Derby and Watford' - well it's important to note we've beat City x 2, Chelsea, and Watford Twitted Liverpool just a week after we beat them at home...

Whats been most impressive for me though, is we've conceded twice, just twice in this stretch. A far cry from early in the season when we were giving up loose/soft goals from poor play, hardly what you want to see when over £100m has been invested in defence in the off season. It just feels like it's coming together nicely. Obviously not where we want to be just yet, but am feeling more and more confident by the week.

Fernandes has been a revelation too, I actually don't see how Pogba forces his way back into this lineup at present, although Euro's are around the corner so presumably he might want some match fitness before the end of the season? Maybe seeing Fernandes controlling midfield play might actually motivate him to stay, play and drive us forward too...
