This team has improved this season. For the first time since Fergie left I feel we are set up to be able to try and challenge. I know Mourinho got us to 2nd but the football was awful and it didnt feel like we were getting better as a team and a group.
No matter what happens this weekend I feel optimistic for next season, again thats the first time I have felt this since Fergie left.
I sort of agree with you but the major problem is outside the best starting X1, most of the rest are not even close and that is where the weakness is. Even if we win, we will still have the same points as last season and are miles away from the title.
If we win this weekend its still a massive 30 points behind Liverpool. So my optimism is tempered by that ugly fact.
