What I really was interested in was how did Arsenal react to being 1-0 down. Well they lost their shape and players did their own things. Mertesacker was to blame for Rooneys goal. He was camped 20 metres in the Utd half. The important thing is to keep the shape and not panic..

So this.

We acted like we were 2-0 down in the 90th. No patience at all, everyone just poured forward as if we needed a goal within the next 30 seconds.

We did create plenty of chances because of it, but we left an ocean of space. This ManU team is pretty poor but one thing they do have is quality attacking players who can hurt you when you do dumb things like throw all your defenders forward.

On a side note I was personally quite shocked at van Persie's general level of play. I think his legs are going, he might be done. I'd love to see some GPS stats but to me it seemed he covered a lot less ground than he usually would in a game. His pace has dropped and his movement wasn't there - and that movement was his key strength for me. He's so good at turning CB's inside out before receiving the ball, but I didn't see that from him. Wouldn't be surprised if van Gaal offloads him at the end of the season.

I agree about RVP. I think his legs have gone already.
