I don't really disagree with any of you on the situations you're describing. I would rather win than lose beautifully as well.

I'm purely debating the term "bossing" when referring to wins in that kind of style, that's all. Mourinho did this with Porto etc too, and no one said Porto bossed anybody when they won the Champions League. They still won it though. 

I'd say Man City right now are properly "bossing" games when they win them.

What you guys are describing, I'd just call winning.
